Tutoring Ambitions helps students find tutors, tutors promote their services, and students book and pay for lessons. These Terms and Conditions apply to both students and tutors unless specified otherwise. By registering or using the website, users agree to be bound by these legally binding Terms.
These Terms replace all previous versions.
Tutoring Ambitions is operated by Tutoring Ambitions Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 14714240).

Users may register as a student or tutor. Registration enables features like saved information for easier use.
Tutoring Ambitions will:
Enable tutors to promote services and students to book and pay for lessons.
Maintain the website, booking system, messaging tools, and online classroom.
Minimise downtime and notify users of planned maintenance when possible.
Take reasonable steps to protect the website from viruses and malicious software.
Verify tutors' identities and conduct background checks for those applying for "Background Checked Status."
Manage tutor profiles and determine when they’re ready to go live.
Notify students and tutors of bookings, changes, or cancellations via the platform and email.
Promptly process lesson fees, tutor payments, refunds, and resolve failed transactions.
Handle complaints fairly and efficiently.
Monitor communications and content as necessary to prevent misuse.
Users agree to:
Take responsibility for their own security when using the platform.
Ensure all posted content is lawful and respectful.
Report any offensive, illegal, or inappropriate content.
Assess the accuracy of information independently.
Protect their account credentials and notify Tutoring Ambitions if compromised.
Use the platform appropriately and not promote unrelated services.
Adhere to the site’s Privacy Policy.
Accept that violations of these Terms may result in account suspension or cancellation.
Students must be 18+ to book lessons independently. Those under 18 require parental consent.
Contact details must remain accurate.
Valid payment details must be provided at booking.
Students form a direct agreement with tutors. Tutoring Ambitions is not liable for tutor performance.
Students must not bypass the platform to arrange private tuition.
It is the student’s responsibility to verify tutor credentials.
Students must ensure suitable tech/equipment for lessons. No refunds will be given for issues on the student’s side.
Bookings can be cancelled free of charge with more than 24 hours' notice.
These Terms do not affect statutory consumer rights.
Students may stop using the service at any time, provided all completed lessons are paid for.
Tutors agree to:
Operate as self-employed professionals responsible for their conduct.
Be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the UK.
Keep profile information up to date and accurate.
Disclose any criminal convictions or cautions at registration and during engagement with the platform.
Not complete coursework or assignments for students.
Set their own lesson rates in accordance with Tutoring Ambitions’ policies.
Conduct all communication with students through the platform.
Ensure they have reliable access to the online classroom. Technical failures on the tutor’s side may result in refunds to students.
Agree that lessons may be recorded and shared with students for quality and resolution purposes.
